Description

When upgrading the cabinet speaker in my Stern Star Trek, I ran into a problem I’m sure others have seen: the upgraded subwoofer’s mounting flange was too thick for the factory studs to fully engage the nuts. The speaker would almost fit — but not securely.

Rather than forcing it or swapping hardware, I designed a simple spacer ring that bolts down using the original cabinet studs. The speaker then mounts directly to the spacer with screws, giving you full thread engagement and a rock-solid install.
